On Friday, Feb. 13, from 1 p.m. to – 4 p.m., AND1 is hosting Paint the Park in Compton, a community-first activation centered on streetball culture, access, and showing up for the people and places that have always shaped the game. While All-Star Weekend traditionally highlights the league’s biggest stars, this event is about celebrating basketball at the neighborhood level, for the love of the game and the community around it.

AND1 is fully renovating the basketball court at South Park, unveiling a custom mural by artist Mike Norice, and bringing together legendary AND1 Mixtape Tour athletes like The Professor, Hot Sauce, AO, Shane the Dribbler, and Pharmacist, alongside a new generation of streetballers, including Leaky Roof and White Iverson. The event will feature a live DJ set by DJ Trauma, merch and sneaker giveaways, food, drinks, and local community members and youth programs will be in attendance.

Golden State Film Festival (Courtesy The Turn)

The Golden State Film Festival takes place at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood from Thursday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 6.  Packed full of shorts and full-length features, highlights include Erik Castro’s Creating a Photojournalist, You Still See Dead People, The Taxidermy of a Man, and Bears in Hot Tubs. The Turn, a western by director Ursula Rudorfer, is a visual treat. In the unforgiving world of the American Southwest, two fiercely bonded sisters hunt justice outside the law until a brutal act of vengeance forces them to confront the cost of survival, trust, and blood-soaked retribution.

On Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, in Long Beach, KASSO FEST SKATE & SOUND will merge elite skateboarding, live hip-hop performances, and street culture into a two-day experience. Headlining the music lineup are LaRussell (fresh off the official NFL Tailgate stage at the Super Bowl) and EARTHGANG, alongside an impressive roster of top skaters including Jamie Foy, Jaws, Leo Romero, Greyson Fletcher, Tom Schaar, Dashawn Jordan, and more.

Created by TBS, the team behind American Ninja Warrior, KASSO is built around the theme “Never Been Done,” transforming skateboarding into a high-energy, spectator-driven live event that blends sport, music, and community. For more information and tickets, see HERE.
