On Saturday, Nov.  2, Mastro’s Ocean Club Malibu will host a fashion show brunch highlighting international Filipino designer Puey Quiñones’ holiday collection and select bridal pieces. The fashion salon and brunch will bring an up-close experience throughout the dining room with runway models in some of  Quiñones’ newest creations.

The beachside restaurant will be serving its weekend brunch menu featuring Maine lobster eggs Benedict, red king crab omelet, wagyu sweet potato hash, Belgian waffle with matcha cream, along with signature seafood tower, steaks,  cocktails, wine, and desserts, including the signature Mastro butter cake.

The Fine Arts Theatre Beverly Hills will host the Los Angeles premiere of eleven newly restored Fleischer Studios cartoons in 4K, including  Betty Boop’s Halloween Party, on Saturday, Nov.  1.  Claire Fleischer, a member of the Fleischer Cartoons Restoration Team, will appear in person to introduce the screening and share insight into the extensive restoration process. She is the great-granddaughter of cartoonist Max Fleischer and created Fabulous Fleischer Cartoons Restored to assemble, digitize, and restore the Fleischer cartoon library. She’s also the daughter of movie director Richard Fleischer (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea).

Founded in the 1920s by Max and Dave Fleischer, Fleischer Studios created some of animation’s most enduring characters. The special event highlights brand-new digital restorations that bring Fleischer’s groundbreaking artistry back to the screen in vivid detail, offering a rare chance to experience these films as they were meant to be seen.
