Head in the Clouds Festival returned to Brookside at the Rose Bowl last weekend, May 31, and June 1, marking the 10th-anniversary celebration for its host, the pioneering music label 88rising. The two-day event drew thousands of music fans, cementing its status as the country’s premiere showcase of Asian and Asian-American talent.
Headliners G-Dragon of BIGBANG, 2NE1, DEAN, DPR Ian, Rich Brian, Porter Robinson in a DJ set and Higher Brothers led a dynamic lineup that spanned K-pop, R&B, hip-hop and electronic music, with acts that included Miso, Number_i, Wang OK, Sunkis and Milli.
Beyond the music, Head in the Clouds 2025 offered a rich cultural experience with art installations and a food lineup curated by 626 Night Market that included Bang Bang Noodles, Good Alley, Heng Heng Chicken Rice, Iki Ramen x Iki Nori, Jilli, and many others, with special appearances by SoCal favorites Boiling Crab x King’s Hawaiian, Kogi, Melona, Rockstar Chicken and Shlap Muan.
The fest was livestreamed on 88rising’s YouTube channel, reaching fans worldwide. With its 10-year finale, Head in the Clouds LA 2025 proved 88rising’s staying power as a platform for Asian artists on the global stage.
