Six five people were shot, four fatally, when a man burst into a Valley Village Mediterranean restaurant and opened fire, police said. The shooter fled and remained at-large.

The attack happened at about 4:40 p.m. Saturday at the Hot Spot Cafe on Riverside Drive near Colfax Avenue, according to the KTLA News. One of the surviving victims was hospitalized in critical condition and died early Saturday evening, police said. Footage of the crime scene showed witnesses crying. The area appeared to be cordoned off.

All of the victims were described as men in their early 20s. The Los Angeles Times reported that police are investigating the possibility Armenian gang rivalries might have been behind the attack.
