English multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter Elderbrook will perform at The Torch at LA Coliseum this Saturday, April 5, as part of his North American tour supporting his latest album Another Touch. The artist, real name is Alexander Kotz, is known for blending introspective lyricism with a dynamic electronic soundscape.

Released in late 2024, Another Touch is a personal project that showcases Elderbrook’s evolution as both a songwriter and performer. “Another Touch is the first album that I’ve written that follows a story,” he shared with LA Weekly. “It’s the story of someone who loses their way and tries to reconnect with themselves by returning home. The idea came when I was touring years ago. Alone in a hotel room with the light shining in through the blinds. Having not slept and realising that I could do better. Although this is definitely not a story about me, I’ve taken from personal experiences for sure.”

The 12-track LP features collaborations with Shimza, Carlita, and George FitzGerald, offering a mix of emotional tracks like “Shallow Water” and energetic anthems like the Vintage Culture-assisted “Run.”

Elderbrook, known for his energetic stage presence, emphasizes the importance of physical and mental prep for a 30-date tour. “I’m pretty active onstage. Dancing around, singing and playing instruments. I’m up there for a good amount of time too!” he says. “For this tour I started eating well, running on most days to keep my cardio up, too. What’s helped me this time on tour was bringing my family. I’ve got two kids so we are all on a bus for two months.”

The artist gave a preview of what to expect from the show — “It’s 107 minutes of pure, unadulterated, good fun times. The energy in the crowd is palpable and there’s just something in the air. Difficult to explain but you’ll have to come and see what I mean.”

He highlights “Places” as a standout track in his setlist. “It really sums up the album for me and, when I play live, I get to smash these new drums I’ve got onstage which is a welcome change from the tiny little plastic buttons I’m used to.”

Since breaking through with the global hit “Cola” in 2017, Elderbrook has collaborated with artists like Diplo, John Summit, and Black Coffee, accumulating over 1.5 billion streams. His performances at venues such as Red Rocks and Coachella have cemented his reputation as a must-see live act.

And the LA show will mean a lot to him, “I’m from the UK. Growing up wanting to be a musician I would always look to America. It was my dream to be able to come out here and tour and places like LA were in the forefront of my mind” he says. “To come out here like I do and get to play and tour and write here is a great feeling.”
