Whether you’re her kid or her partner, shopping for mom can be hard – which is why we’ve created this list of creative and useful Christmas gifts for mom that she’ll love.
Why is it so hard to find Christmas gifts for mom? As a mom myself, I’d say it’s because I don’t spend a lot of time ruminating on my own wants or needs. More so out of exhaustion than maternal martyrdom, I don’t really know what I like outside of black leggings and ten minutes of peace. If your mom or partner is the same, I made a list of my own favorites and wants this holiday season in hopes of helping you (and my husband) out.
From clothing and beauty items to relaxation items and self care, here’s my Christmas list of gift ideas for mom that she’ll love.
Our Top 10 Christmas Gifts For Mom
bella dahl Clothing
We recently discovered bella dahl and we’ve been living in their shirts ever since (seriously – we have three of the same shirt in different colors, it’s a wardrobe staple now). Since working remotely began, and the kids have had to stay home with me, getting dressed is somewhat a thing of the past. When we do venture out, the aforementioned black leggings and requisite Target t-shirt are my uniform. While there is nothing wrong with this mommy uniform, it does become kind of a bummer after awhile. This is why we love bella dahl. Not only are their pieces soft and comfortable (not to overuse the buzzword buttery soft, but these pieces are seriously buttery soft), but they instantly upgrade your outfit and make you feel put together.
A Los Angeles based company, they are as committed to comfortable fashion as they are sustainable business practices (which is important). “While we aim to create beautiful pieces, we also prioritize ethical practices and mindful choices to help lower the impact our clothing has on our planet,” explains the founders. We love their button downs, but you can explore the collection for yourself to find your perfect addition to your list of Christmas gifts for mom.
As much as I love mommy wine culture, I also dislike it. As such, SipC has become my favorite go-to beverage for the holidays, because it’s alcohol (and hangover)-free yet provides similar relaxing effects with a sophisticated taste.
SipC has two styles of alcohol-removed beverage: SipClean and SipCozy. I prefer SipCozy, a CBD-infused rosé that lends to a cozy, holiday state of mind. SipClean is also great, as a non-alcoholic canned wine that’s as great at home as it is on the go.
“Female-driven and owned, we aim to help women feel good about consuming an adult beverage: one with less calories, less sugar, and zero hangovers,” explains the creators. “Alcohol-removed wines offer a healthier choice for the wellness-minded.”
I’ll always stan a woman-owned business, especially one as committed to ethical craftsmanship as Californians Footwear. Californians’ CEO Jaclyn Jones saw that footwear manufacturing in the U.S. had not adapted to the standards of ethics, technology, quality and cleanliness expected from every other manufacturing industry. To tackle these inefficiencies as well as integrate sustainability, she opened footwear factory Clover & Cobbler with a goal of making ethical craftsmanship a priority. Personally we love the Hannah | Steel Crush shoe, a genuine shearling two-toned slipper on our hand-stained leather footbed with a soft foam midsole and indoor-outdoor traction rubber outsole.
Manna Kadar Beauty
Manna Kadar Beauty offers both makeup, gifts, accessories and sets for every type of woman. If your lady loves makeup, items from Manna Kadar would make for great Christmas stocking stuffers for mom. I personally hope my husband, or should I say Santa, puts one of Manna Kadar’s Blending Sponge with Cat Stand in my stocking. You can never have enough blending sponges, and we always need a stand to hold them in. New makeup brushes are always well-received, too. If you need gift ideas for mom that she’ll love, check out this 9-piece brush set.
The Boobgaurd cream from Ballsy is one of those products that I’m not quite sure how I lived without before I found it. I’ve breastfed for 42 months combined, and Boobgaurd has made my life significantly more comfortable. What is it? Boobguard is a soothing cream and dries quickly as a mess-free powder to help fight sweat, smell and chafing on your breasts and thighs. If you have a wife who is a new (or newish) mother, slipping one of these bad boys in her stocking will show her that you get it, which in and of itself, is the best Christmas gift of all. Definitely add it to your list of Christmas gifts for mom!
Living by the beach, good swimwear is a year-round struggle to find. Like many moms, I’m always searching for a bathing suit that looks good, feels secure and makes me feel great. You wouldn’t expect this to be a tall order, but anyone who has had multiple c-sections like me knows that finding a swimsuit that accomplishes all three of these asks is way harder than it should be. This is why a piece from Swiminista is on my list of Christmas gifts for mom that she’ll love.
Swiminista is supported swimwear designed to move, engineered to complement the body. Created by Rock and Republic founder Andréa Bernholtz, these bathing suits have been crafted in an effort to give women the confidence to celebrate their own bodies while reducing the impact swimwear has on the planet, using luxury recycled fabrics to create her entire collection.
Like a lot of moms, I have a hard time sleeping. Maybe it’s the baby years permanently ingrained into my sleep schedule, or maybe it’s the biological need to awaken at the slightest sound, whatever it is, it’s annoying and I don’t like it. Moms want to sleep. Moms need to sleep. And while sleep isn’t something we can just bestow upon a person, it is something we can aid.
What a lot of people don’t realize (myself included, until a very well-thought out gift from my husband) is that to have a good night’s rest you need to have a good pillow. Sleep is vital, so the pillow that you sleep on should reflect that importance. FluffCo has pillows that do just that. From down feather to down alternative options, you’ll find the best Christmas gift ideas for mom browsing FluffCo’s website! One doesn’t usually think to invest in a really nice pillow, which is why this is the perfect gift for the mom that has it all and has a solid place on our list of Christmas gifts for mom.
AMASS Botanic Lotion + Candle
Amass is one of our favorite brands, so it makes sense we’d add some of their catalogue to our list of Christmas gift ideas for mom. Why do we love it so much? Because it’s a local company that is driven and co-founded by badass females.
“AMASS was born out of a desire for quotidian pleasures made better by plants,” explains co-founder Morgan McLachlan. “Our line of botanical beverages and personal care products are designed for moments of celebration and self-care. They’re a way to connect, both with others and ourselves. It’s my hope that our products provide a connection for all of your happy hours and evening rituals to come.”
Free of artificial preservatives and unnecessary chemicals, just about everything from AMASS is a winner. But this holiday season I’m going to narrow down my wish-list to two things: the Four Thieves Candle and Four Thieves Lotion (or, if you love your mom a whole lot, get her the entire Thick As Thieves set). Moms love a good candle and yummy lotion, and these two are some of the best!
A good mom is worth her weight in gold, so why not gift her a Go for the GOLD Mask from FormRx? Infused with 24K gold and collagen building properties for lifting and hydrating sagging and dry skin, it’s the luxury self care she deserves. Each mask provides superior hydration, improves the skin on a cellular level by using powerful ingredients, helps maintain a radiant complexion, as well as delays and reverses the signs of aging sun damage and skin impurities.
The Wild Unknown Pocket Tarot
I’ve added The Wild Unknown Pocket Tarot, to my list, as I’m a spiritual mom who loves tarot and would be delighted to receive any of The Wild Unknown’s items (including their gorgeous notebooks) this season. A gift that is as inspiring as it is personal, it’s perfect for the tarot and oracle card lovers in your life. The Wild Unknown Pocket Tarot is a compact, portable version of the brand’s bestselling tarot deck featuring lush four-color illustrations. This set is great for traveling or bringing unique entertainment to parties or other gatherings!
Waphyto’s Regena Toner
Continuing on this self-care gift idea flow, skincare is always a good thought when it comes to filling out mom’s Christmas list. It’s always fun to try new skincare, especially when that skincare is of the luxury genre. Waphyto is a female-founded Japanese brand that combines the best that mother nature has to offer with the latest biomethodological advancements to create some seriously good skin care. We love a good lotion toner, especially on busy days when we are in need of a few seconds to refresh. Waphyto’s Regena Toner is our new favorite, as not only is it deeply hydrating, but it smells delicious.
TheraOne Recover CBD Lotion
Being a mom hurts. Literally. My back hurts all the time thanks to constant running around and acting as a human jungle gym to two very rambunctious toddlers. The only thing that I’ve found to really ease my aches and pains is CBD lotion, a magical elixir crafted from hemp that always does exactly what I need it to.
Purchasing CBD can be tricky, however, due to an oversaturation of brands on the market. When choosing a good CBD gift for your mom, you want to make sure the brand you are buying from is high-quality, free of unnecessary fillers and lab-tested by a third party. TheraOne Recover CBD lotion is one of our favorites. A cooling restoring CBD lotion, TheraOne helps ease soreness, discomfort, and tension with USDA Certified Organic CBD and nourishing, restorative all-natural essential oils.
TribeTokes Disposable CBD Vape Pen
While we’re on the topic of CBD, I’d be remiss to not include TribeTokes Disposable CBD Vape Pen. Relaxing, discreet, non-intoxicating, it’s a great gift for a mom who is overdue for some R&R. As a disposable pen, it’s an all-in-one device with just one button, so it’s easy to use for even the most novice of vaping beginners. An indica fan through and through, I recommend the Northern Lights strain. Known for pacifying the mind and relaxing the muscles, it’s great for sleeping – and we all know how sleep is on our list of Christmas gifts for mom.
As Covid keeps circling back, I’ve come to not just appreciate but savor a good pair of pajamas. Printfresh is one of our favorite brands, sustainably and ethically sourced and incredibly comfortable. A majority woman-owned business, Printfresh is a collection of sleepwear and lifestyle items that are inspired by plants, animals and home décor. The whimsical and unique designs begin as gouache paintings, which are then translated into digital illustrations. The final patterns are hand screen printed or embroidered by their artisan partners in India on 100% GOTS organic cotton.
Give the mom in your life the coziest sleepwear in her collection! I’m partial to the Bagheera Flannel Long Sleep Set, which has been carefully reimagined and handcrafted after a year of research using our all (highly-requested) lightweight flannel.
Dermlove’s Daily Glow Capsules are the perfect stocking stuffer. This potent serum is formulated with 10% pure L-ascorbic acid, the gold standard Vitamin C, sealed in biodegradable capsules to offer superior formula stability, easy application and precise dosing. It’s a great product that’s fragrance-free with packaging designed to protect ingredients and avoid the use of irritating preservatives, making it ideal for people with sensitive skin.
“Our promise is to use formulas containing only safe, effective ingredients that are backed by scientific research,” they explain. ” Our products are vegan and cruelty-free, our capsules are biodegradable, and our jars and boxes are recyclable.”
