Last winter, a film soundstage in Atwater Village turned into the consistent ticket for Los Angeles dance music. This winter, Framework is going for more nights, more names and a rebuilt room. The LA dance music promoter has announced the second season of re:frame, a series that will bring more than 25 nights of DJs, live electronic acts and label showcases to Reframe Studios from Dec. 4 through Feb. 27. The run begins with two nights from ZHU and stretches from the holidays into the new year with appearances from Black Book Records, Drumcode, Bedouin, Nora En Pure, Duke Dumont, Sasha & John Digweed, deadmau5, Nic Fanciulli, Paco Osuna, Cassian, Hot Since 82 and others.
The first season, which ran earlier in 2026, established Reframe Studios as a new kind of setting for Framework. The inaugural run drew more than 30,000 people over six weeks, with eight performances selling out. Among its biggest moments was a surprise John Summit set that sold out within minutes and included guest appearances from Feid, Subtronics and Sidepiece. Other events were built around elaborate concepts, including showcases from CamelPhat and The Martinez Brothers, as well as a Lunar New Year production from Long Feng.
Framework co-founder and CEO Kobi Danan said the response revealed a hole in the city’s nightlife. “With re:frame Season 1, we saw there was a real appetite in Los Angeles for an experience that sits between the intimacy of a nightclub and the scale of a major concert venue,” Danan said in a release. “re:frame Season 2 allows us to expand that idea across an entire winter calendar.”
Here’s how season 2 will push the concept: rather than treating the space as a fixed club, Framework is using the building as a flexible production environment capable of taking on a different identity from show to show.
That approach is possible because Reframe Studios was originally built for film and television production. Its two soundstages each measure roughly 20,000 square feet, with 33-foot ceilings, giving Framework considerable room to reconfigure the environment. For the new season, the company says it is overhauling the venue’s sound, lighting, video, staging and spatial design.
The result is intended to occupy the territory between a traditional club and a large-scale concert production — with enough room for ambitious stage concepts without losing the proximity between DJs and their audiences.
The calendar also gives the series a broader stylistic range. December moves from ZHU’s two-night opening on Dec. 4 and 5 into showcases from Black Book Records on Dec. 10, Drumcode on Dec. 11 and Bedouin presents SAGA on Dec. 12. nimino follows on Dec. 18, with Nora En Pure on Dec. 19 and Duke Dumont taking over New Year’s Eve.
January brings a particularly dense stretch of programming, including Sasha & John Digweed on Jan. 8, a special birthday performance from deadmau5 on Jan. 9, Nic Fanciulli & Paco Osuna on Jan. 15, Layton Giordani for a four-hour extended set on Jan. 22, Dennis Cruz on Jan. 23, Cassian on Jan. 29 and Mahmut Orhan on Jan. 30.
February continues with Hot Since 82 on Feb. 5 and WhoMadeWho performing a hybrid DJ set on Feb. 6. Nylon Nights takes over Feb. 12 and 13 with a two-night Big Game Edition. Carlita plays Feb. 19, and the following night pairs Damian Lazarus & Tripolism for a Long Feng Lunar New Year presentation. The season concludes with two closing-party dates on Feb. 26 and 27.
There are also several collaborations woven into the schedule. Goldenvoice is partnering on the nimino date and Giordani’s extended set. Three dates — Jan. 2, Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 — are still listed as TBA, with additional artists still to be announced.
The expansion comes as Framework continues to use Reframe Studios for programming outside the winter series. The company’s current calendar includes outdoor events at the Atwater Village property, including upcoming appearances from The Soulection Experience and Hugel.
If Season 1 was the proof of concept, Season 2 is the residency. For three months, Atwater Village becomes the place the city’s electronic crowd can return to like a habit instead of a special occasion, and a place artists can treat like a workshop instead of a black box with a PA.
