At a time when LGBTQ+ youth continue to report disproportionately high rates of anxiety, depression, and social isolation, the expansion brings affirming support groups, family resources, and specialized mental health services directly into one of Los Angeles’ most diverse and culturally significant neighborhoods. The new site will also house Lumina Counseling, Help Group’s outpatient therapy practice, increasing access to culturally competent care for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent young people and their families.
Lumina Counseling is Help Group’s outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across the Los Angeles area. Lumina offers individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as psychoeducational evaluations and diagnostic assessments, both in-person and online, through private-pay and insurance-based options. The practice is staffed by licensed clinicians with expertise spanning anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ affirming care, neurodevelopmental differences, and more.
