San Diego will welcome 2026 with one of the West Coast’s most lauded electronic music events Proper NYE/NYD, presented by FNGRS CRSSD, which returns to Petco Park, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1, 2026. Now in its fourth edition, the fest has solidified its status as a SoCal New Year’s tradition, blending high-energy house, techno, melodic, and bass sounds across multiple stages in the heart of downtown SD.

“CRSSD was actually the first festival that I’ve played at with my HI-LO project almost 10 years ago, and I love what the team has been doing with their events in the decade since!” says Dutch future house pioneer Oliver Heldens on his “darker side” project HI-LO. “In 2022 I had the honor to close the Park Stage at Proper NYE and it was one of the highlights of the year for me as HI-LO, so I have high expectations for the upcoming edition and I’m very excited!”
He’ll be touring Europe and South America in early 2026, but teases that he might be back in SoCal around the end of March — Proper will be the last time you’ll be able to catch him before then, so make sure to find him at the PARK stage on Jan 1.
Set times were recently released on Instagram, with ever-fun Sammy Virji holding down the FIELD stage at midnight on NYE, with Gorgon City, Adam Beyer, Yotto and Jacques Greene simultaneously behind the decks at the other stages. Disco Lines and Max Styler will precede Sammy on the FIELD, with Purple Disco Machine, Noizu, Hayden James and Claude Vonstroke as other can’t-misses.

Max Styler (Nat Goldie)
For San Luis Obispo-native Max Styler — known to blend tech house, indie dance and some bassy, dark stuff — Proper will be like a homecoming: “The last time I was at Petco Park I was watching a Padres game with my family years ago,” he tells us. “Most of my family is from San Diego, so playing Proper at Petco Park has been a bucket list festival for me since it started. I have never actually been, but the photos and videos I’ve seen look really special and I can’t wait for it.”
2026 will be a banner year for the up-and-coming taste-maker. “I just launched my new label, Nu Moda, so there will be a lot of new music coming soon from myself as well as some of my favorite artists. Also I just announced my 2026 tour for the first several months of next year headlining some of the biggest venues I’ve ever played. I seriously can’t wait and overall I’m just really excited about the music and shows I’m working on right now.” You can catch him on the FIELD on Dec. 31.
Thursday’s lineup is just as stacked, with Justice closing out the FIELD at the same time as Kaskade Redux B2B MK, Sara Landry, CHASEWEST and M-HIGH. Skrillex B2b Four Tet and a Disclosure DJ set will precede Justice on the FIELD, and Chris Lorenzo, Flight Facilities, and Nora En Pure at other stages, a part of a stellar lineup.

Nora En Pure (Tyler Fuhrmeister)
“It’s the best way to start the New Year! They always curate an awesome lineup with lots of friends playing as well which makes it a super familiar feeling. The team behind it is one of my favourites, great people taking good care of us,” says esteemed Swiss-South African deep house producer Nora En Pure. “I have played it twice, once on the big stage, once on a super intimate one. Both were great fun, usually on the intimate stages you really feel a great energy. San Diego is one of my favourite places to play as people here get my chilled, laidback vibe.”
She will be on the LOT stage on Jan. 1. After Proper, she’ll be touring North America through January, then she’ll head back to Europe to plan her Purified Events for the year.
Organized by the team behind the long-running CRSSD Festival, a biannual waterfront event known for its curated house and techno lineups, Proper NYE/NYD serves as the brand’s high-production counterpart for year-end festivities. Launched in 2022, Proper quickly evolved into a staple, drawing thousands for stadium-grade visuals, fireworks at midnight, and killer lineup.

Noizu (Tessa Paisan)
“I love playing in San Diego, the crowd is always hyped and I feel like you can experiment with them since they are into the music. Proper is a sick festival and the lineup this year is really strong so I’m happy to be a part of it” says LA-based house DJ and producer Noizu, originally from the UK. “I played a few years back, it was so fun. It was in the earlier days of the project and I was so hyped to be playing. Really enjoyed that one!”
He’s got a bunch of new music, a Vegas residency, and new tour dates upcoming, so catching him at Proper will be a great way to be on his stride in 2026. He will be at the LOT stage on Dec. 31.
As with past years, expect immersive production, with stadium lighting, video mapping, and open-air stages on the field and concourses, creating an electric atmosphere for ringing in the new year. This year’s edition promises enhancements like five stages, reduced capacity and better flow. Single and two-day passes available are still available at propernye.com.
An Instagram post two days ago noted that tickets are 96% sold out, so if you’re thinking of going, you should probably act quick.
