Art has long been celebrated as a profound form of self-expression, a mirror reflecting both the inner self and the world beyond. Yet, it transcends mere visual representation. Art has the power to serve as a spiritual bridge, linking the physical world with unseen realms. It becomes a conduit between the earthly and the divine, the living and the afterlife, elevating human experience to something transcendent.
Ancient traditions showcase shamans and healers using art as part of their rituals to communicate with ancestors or deities. The notion of art as a medium to communicate with spirits has earned renewed interest in modern times. Some artists share experiencing visions, encounters with spirits, or flashes of insight during the creative process.
This mystical understanding of art as a bridge between worlds is captured in Bravo Valenti’s book, Thank You. I Love You. It reveals a message from the Beyond, which was entrusted to the author at the darkest point of his life. Bravo made it his mission to deliver this powerful message from his ancestral spirit guides to address humanity’s greatest challenge, the threat to human survival from the cataclysmic climate crisis.

Bravo Valenti
His venture into art and mediumship came unexpectedly late in life—at age 57—when he decided to go on a healing journey after a traumatic life event. A series of life-changing experiences led him to where he is today. Describing himself as an “unlikely mystical artist,” Bravo now has a multidisciplinary career in photography, painting, writing, filmmaking, and more.
As Bravo began his artistic journey, he asked himself: ‘How does a child learn how to draw?’ The answer was by scribbling. Bravo wondered what would happen if an adult scribbled.
The then-aspiring artist scribbled without intention or form, just like a child. He noticed something uncanny after several days, observing one of his scribbles resembled a face. Bravo then articulated the scribble into a portrait. Within minutes, the man Bravo drew walked into the cafe where Bravo was drawing. This would happen again, leading Bravo to believe that scribbling unlocked latent telepathy.

Bravo’s Telepathic Portrait
The next pivotal experience transpired when Bravo attended a spiritual gathering, expecting a meditation session. He was surprised the event was a lecture on the importance of honoring ancestors by Nicola Graydon, the author of “Ancestral Continuum” – published by Simon and Schuster. The host emphasized that embracing their ancestral legacies—their spiritual and emotional blueprints—could transform how people see themselves. Bravo was randomly picked from the audience to be the center of an event the host called a “family constellation ceremony,” although he was skeptical at first. He left just as skeptical, not understanding how deceased ancestors can guide our lives today.
A few days after the ancestral ceremony, Bravo had an experience that would change his perception forever. He entered his bedroom and found his younger brother, who had passed away 40 years ago, sitting on his bed like a hologram. Significantly, it also happened to be his younger brother’s birthday. The two spent over an hour conversing and connecting. This encounter was the first time the artist had experienced direct contact with an ancestor from the afterlife.
One year later, again, on his younger brother’s birthday, Bravo met a young man, who would soon tell Bravo that he had a past life recall that he was Bravo’s younger brother in a previous life. He did not know Bravo had a younger brother, or that he had met Bravo on his younger brother’s birthday. Nor did he know anything about Bravo’s previous visit from his younger brother a year earlier. This synchronicity made Bravo realize, for the first time, that he was a medium, and that the family constellation ceremony had been his initiation. He then began to receive countless mediumistic messages through his artwork, solidifying his belief that art is a bridge between the dimensions.
Bravo began experimenting with scribbling on psychedelics, including LSD. On one particularly intense LSD trip that he describes in his book, Bravo was delivered a “secret password” – thank you, I love you – that would allow him reentry into a dimension of pure love and gratitude that he had just experienced.
A year later, as he entered his bedroom, he noticed something strange in a poster by Hungarian-French artist Victor Vasarely on his wall. The geometric abstraction of dots suddenly showed a human face, which said, “Thank you. I love you.” The human face claimed to be the famed artist himself. Bravo was then bombarded with a stream of overwhelming information. He began receiving life-altering messages from Vasarely, explaining that the impending cataclysmic climate crisis was a real threat to humanity’s survival. Vasarely further explained that the root cause of our inability to prevent our own self-annihilation was our lack of gratitude and love for our own ancestry. He then explained that Bravo was given the secret password of “thank you, I love you,” to shift humanity’s consciousness away from unsustainable consumerism and towards gratitude and love for our planet and all living species.
Bravo would soon receive messages while drawing and painting from his deceased ancestors, including his artistic ancestors, the spirits of Leonardo da Vinci, Andy Warhol, Toulouse Lautrec, and gurus like Timothy Leary and Yogananda, among others.
Bravo’s spirit guides informed him that contemporary leaders like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Richard Brandson, with grandiose visions of space colonization, are misleading the public. Even some environmentalists are presenting false narratives on how to save our planet. It became increasingly apparent to Bravo how important it was for him to deliver the message of “Thank You, I Love You” to shift the global discussion on how to prevent a cataclysmic climate crisis. “After all,” Bravo explains, “we actually have every scientific and technological solution to end global warming. Yet, for 20 consecutive years, the planet keeps getting hotter. Obviously, there is something missing that is preventing us from solving this problem. It is our lack of gratitude and love.”
This lack of connection to Earth as our ancestral planet and the evolutionary history that binds all life forms prevents humanity from making the necessary changes to avert catastrophe. Bravo states, “Even if we could bioengineer another planet into being inhabitable, we don’t have ancestral roots there. We would be cut off from our very own collective unconscious, the great well of thought and consciousness we inherited from our ancestors. That is why the great artists of the past have contacted me. Their artistic legacies are at stake! This destruction represents the antithesis of gratitude and love.”
Bravo was given what seems like a surprisingly simplistic solution – the reciting of “Thank you. I love you” as a mantra. However, he explains its meaning more profoundly in his book. The author insists that this mantra can catalyze changes needed within each person and our entire society, although, at first, it may seem too simple to be effective. “Of course, systemic changes are necessary. But if we don’t shift our mindset, none of the scientific, technological, or political solutions seem to be working. Without love and gratitude, we will continue to follow false narratives about how to save our planet,” Bravo shares.
