Marlon Daniels Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash near Estate Hill Drive

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 24, 2024)Vanesa Ramos and Solumen Lopez died Wednesday night in pedestrian crash at the 20500 block of Stone Oak Parkway. The incident took place at approximately 8:00 p.m., on April 3rd.

As per the San Antonio Police officers, Ramos was walking with 5-year-old Lopez in a stroller within a marked crosswalk when a speeding vehicle collided with them.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and declared both 39-year-old Ramos and Lopez deceased. To facilitate clearance efforts, emergency crews cordoned off the surrounding area.

Upon initial assessment, authorities determined that the driver, 56-year-old Marlon Daniels, was driving under the influence.

Consequently, police apprehended Daniels, who now faces two charges of intoxication manslaughter. No additional information has been disclosed at present, and investigations are ongoing. Further details will be provided as they become available.
