Zoot Suits and Wallet Chains Reigned at L.A. Retro Fest in Long Beach

Chicano art, classic cars and vintage fashions made for a colorful day at L.A. Retro Fest in Long Beach on Sunday, Feb. 12. The event at the Museum of Latin American Art was in conjunction with the museum's opening of “Dreamland: A Frank Romero Retrospective,” featuring a comprehensive look at the works of the East L.A. artist. Models took the stage in styles from the '40s to the '60s for a fashion show, classic cars gleamed in the sunlight, and Cutty Flam, Thee Midnighters and Amoeba Boys played everything from surf rock to Chicano rock.
