Illustrator Josh Cochran painted this fantastic piece entitled “Zombies vs. Unicorns.” He's selling it as a poster, which is 30 x 23 inches big. If you want it, buy it fast. Josh has already sold out three quarters of his limited edition of 200.

In your painting, do any of the unicorns get bitten? And do they become undead zombie unicorns?

Yes, I was careful to include zombie-unicorn hybrids as well as halfway eaten unicorns. There is even a zombie wearing a unicorn head in a mocking gesture.

Who do you think would win in a fight between unicorns and zombies? I guess it would depend on how many unicorns versus how many zombies. But for the sake of argument, let's say ONE unicorn versus ONE zombie.

Oh, easily the unicorn. Zombies are super slow and kind of dumb right?

What inspired this poster?

It was originally created as a cover for a collection of short stories titled “Zombies vs. Unicorns” edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier. I was really inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's paintings of weird creatures in surreal landscapes, especially his famous “Garden of Earthly Delights.” If you look carefully, I included one of his characters in my poster.

Who are the good guys, and who are the bad?

I think they are both insanely awesome!
