Although the results of Zagat's annual survey were officially released today, advance copies of the 2010 Los Angeles/Southern California restaurant guide have been making the rounds for awhile. (Check out the cute handwritten note on this copy, hiding under a stack of mail, which I kid you not included a rubber fillet of heart from Knott's Berry Farm and a copy of Frank Bruni's kiss-and-barf memoir.) The top 4 restaurants in LA? Urasawa, Sushi Zo, Angelini Osteria and Matsuhisa. (Gino Angelini must be serving crudo.) The Bazaar and Drago Central scored the highest for newcomers, while Urasawa ranked tops for service. And #1 under Zagat's “bang for the buck” category? In-N-Out. You can see why this whole thing was embargoed, can't you.
