Three Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Accident near South Battle Mountain

BATTLE MOUNTAIN, NV (September 12, 2022) – Sunday, Yurinia Ramirez, Jarrett MacDonald and one other died in a car crash on State Route 305.

The incident happened on August 21st around 3:30 a.m., near South Battle Mountain. Per reports, the driver of a southbound Kia crossed the center line and collided head-on with the northbound Chevrolet.

Officers say 26-year-old MacDonald was driving the Chevrolet with three occupants. Upon impact, MacDonald was ejected from the vehicle onto the road. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, due to the extent of his condition.

In addition, crews pronounced the Kia driver, 35-year-old Ramirez of Estacada, Oregon and a female passenger inside the Kia dead at the scene. Three other passengers from inside the Chevy suffered major injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
