COVID-19 has turned the world on its head, and there is no area of life, be it personal or professional, which it hasn’t infected. Like most businesses, YoungLA had to adapt to a new normal in the face of the pandemic, but unlike most businesses, the fitness clothing brand has thrived in what has been a torrid time for many companies.

“Customer satisfaction has always been our number one priority,” explained YoungLA co-founder Gurmer Chopra. “My brother and I remained determined at the beginning of the pandemic that it wasn’t going to be detrimental to our commitment to quality control and customer satisfaction.”.

For Gurmer and his brother Robby, business is in their blood. They both come from a long line of entrepreneurs, and after graduating from college and earning their stripes in the corporate world, they decided to team up and start their own clothing brand.”

Robby explained, “YoungLA was born after Gurmer and I began selling random products on eBay. We identified the demand for men’s fitness apparel, saw a gap in the market for affordable but quality products, and just went for it.”

With no financial backing, the brothers started small and reinvested any profit back into the business. It paid off! Their team has grown from one employee to 27 full-time workers. YoungLA also has 25 athletes from across the US, endorsing their products and representing their brands.

Gurmer said, “It’s a badge of honor for us that we fulfill, pack, and ship all of our own orders. In 2015 we moved into our first 1000 square foot warehouse. In 2019 we moved into 10,000 square feet, and in 2021 we plan to move into an even bigger spot. The stats speak for themselves. We have always prided ourselves on offering quality products at affordable prices. It’s what sets us apart from our competitors. Not only are our prices better, but our quality control is more stringent.”

Robby added, “With the world in turmoil, people rely more than ever on the business and companies they trust to carry on as normal as possible. Gurmer and I made a pact at the beginning of the pandemic that we would not let COVID-19 stand on the way of shipping top quality products to our customers, and I’m proud to say to date we have delivered the goods every single time.
