Three panhandlers were arrested for the shocking stabbing murder of a 23-year-old woman in Hollywood, the LAPD announced today.

The three were still in the process of being booked, so their identities could not yet be released, a detective told the Weekly. The attack happened …

… about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to the department the victim and a friend were walking at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue when they noticed the men in their 20s panhandling and holding up signs, cops said

The two took cellphone photos the panhandlers, but that didn't seem to go over well. A dispute ensued and the woman “was stabbed in the torso,” says an LAPD statement.

She was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where she died during surgery, according to the department. The woman's ID was being withheld until family members could be notified of her death.

Amazingly the suspects were later found and arrested by officers in the same area, cops said.
