Young Thug Prepares to go Punk: The Wiltern here in Los Angeles is hosting a series of shows featuring the likes of Lany and Waterparks. On Friday it’s the turn of Atlanta rapper Young Thug.

The artist has been stirring up hype for his second album Punk for a couple of years, and a release might finally be imminent. He’s release two awesome singles this year — “Bad Boy” and “That Go.” Meanwhile, he also pops up on the soundtrack to Chris Rock’s new Saw movie, Spiral.

In addition to all that, the video for “Paid the Fine” from the collaborative Slime Language 2 album, saw Young Thug genuinely paying bonds for inmates at Fulton Council Jail.

“This is where we are from,” he said in a press release. “We just woke up and went to the jail with the lawyer and you know DA’s and the prosecutors, you know, the bonding companies and just got as many people as we can out…It feels so good to the point where you start feeling that’s why God put me here. He put me here to do this.”
