10-Year-Old Child Dies in 2-Vehicle Collision near Roosevelt Parkway
AVONDALE, AZ (January 11, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a young boy was killed and five were hurt in a two-car accident on 107th Avenue.
Authorities received dispatch calls in the area around 10:00 a.m., near Roosevelt Parkway on December 28th.
At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the incident involved a van and a Mustang.
Paramedics arrived and transported a 9-year-old, a 5-year-old, a 1-year-old and two adults to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, crews pronounced a 10-year-old boy dead at the hospital.
Following preliminary duties, police do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a factor. Although, an active investigation is still currently underway.
