The first ever A Taste at The Grove takes place this Saturday, June 26th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. And you could be one of the culinary stars scheduled to perform.

Submit your most brilliant recipe online right away. The winner will be announced at an invitational VIP party that evening and will prepare the winning dish alongside Top Chef Master and executive chef Mark Peel of Campanile, The Tar Pit and The Point café. The dish will then be featured on the menu of The Grove's Whisper Lounge.

Go early on Saturday though, because there will be lots to see during the day. At 11:30 a.m., Jean Francois Meteigner of La Cachette Bistro will give a cooking demo. Then two finalists in The Next Food Network Star competition will show their stuff–Doreen Fang at 1:30 p.m. and Darrel “DAS” Smith at 4:30 p.m.

All day long you can sign up to test drive the new Cadillac 2010 SRX–Cadillac is one of the sponsors of the event–and come away with a $10 gift certificate good at any Grove eatery. At 3 p.m., the Thomas Ian Nicholas Band will perform. And during downtime, you can roam Grove shops.

Admission is free. The public event ends at 6 p.m., but if you win the recipe contest, you'll be invited to the party afterward.
