Day Sulan is apparently the “first lady of 4Hunnid Records,” so it makes sense that she would collaborate with her label head, fellow Compton rapper YG. The result is a powerful, sensual and raw piece of work.

“Over throwback-style West Coast keys, she spits sexy and seductive verses, alternating between English and Spanish,” reads a press release. “YG pulls up with a powerhouse cameo of his own. In the music video directed by No Love Out West, Day Sulan takes over the neighborhood with traffic-stopping dance moves and undeniable charisma while paying homage to Los Angeles Mexican culture.”

This isn’t Sulan’s first work with YG; she recently collaborated with D3SZN and YG on the “Hit Em Up” track. That earned 1.3 million Spotify streams and 1.5 million Youtube views. So clearly, the pair are capable of magic.

Sulan had a period of homelessness in Compton, she stripped to set by, but these are better days and she’s absolutely on the rise.

“Make a move or I’ll make mine,” she raps on “Bailar.” One suspects she already did.
