Pedestrian Collision near Rose Hills Road Left One Dead and Another Injured
PICO RIVERA, CA (March 14, 2023) – Sunday night, a hit-and-run crash on Rooks Road claimed the life of Yesenia Sanchez. Officers responded to the collision just before 11:30 p.m. near Rose Hills Road. According to reports, three women were walking near a sports arena that was having an event. An unidentified vehicle struck the three women before driving off. Emergency crews arrived shortly after. Medics pronounced 37-year-old Yesenia Sanchez, of Los Angeles, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews transported another woman to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The third woman was not hurt in the incident. Following the collision, police were not able to apprehend the driver of the involved vehicle.
