Passenger Killed, Driver Arrested after DUI Accident on Road 132

ORANGE COVE, CA (March 3, 2022) – Early Monday morning, Yesenia Corona was arrested after a fatal DUI rollover crash on Avenue 450.

The incident happened around 2:00 a.m., near Avenue 450 and Road 132.

Per reports, Corona was driving a vehicle and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. As a result, she lost control and veered off the road. The vehicle rolled over before coming to rest on its roof into a nearby dry canal.

Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. Meanwhile,  paramedics transported 20-year-old Corona of Dinuba, to an area hospital.

During preliminary investigations, Orange Cove officials found beer bottles and drug paraphernalia inside the damaged vehicle.

Officers believed that drug use played a factor in the incident. As a result, Yesenia Corona was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
