There is no official Yelp edition of Mad Libs (yet), but thanks to The Bold Italic, there is now an unofficial one called YelpLibs that combines Mad Libs with, as the website describes them, “angry Yelp reviews.” As it turns out, playing the word game – this version of it, anyway – is as fun now as an adult as it was when you were a kid passing time on a lazy summer afternoon.

It's especially fun if you spend way too much time hate-reading Yelp reviews, and it's especially educational if the last few years of reading and writing thoughts in 140 characters or less have impinged on your ability to construct a proper sentence. You know, that thing you do when you properly string together nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.

The Bold Italic
provides a few templates for you to fill out Mad Libs-style, including reviews for a dive bar, coffee shop and restaurant; just fill in the blanks et voila: you have a Mad Libbed Yelp review that's both pretty funny and surely as absurd as anything you'll actually read on Yelp. Insert interjection here.
