Teen Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Asuza Avenue near Fairgrove Avenue

WEST COVINA, CA (September 2, 2021) 13-year-old Xinriu Li lost her life Sunday night after a pedestrian hit-and-run on Asuza Avenue.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. August 29, in the area of Asuza Avenue and Fairgrove Avenue.

Furthermore, Officers arrived on the scene after receiving reports of a hit-and-run and an unresponsive teen on the streets, though the events leading up to the crash remain unknown.

However, despite life saving efforts to save her, Li was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eventually, officials arrested the unnamed juvenile driver the next day, Monday, on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run, and driving under the influence.

Moreover, an active investigation is currently underway.
