Pedestrian Crash on Real Road Left Xavier Spain Kennedy Dead

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 11, 2021)40-year-old Xavier Spain Kennedy died after a pedestrian accident on South Real Road.

The fatal accident happened just before 10 p.m., November 6 on South Real Road and Apache Avenue, near Belle Terrace.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a Ford Flex traveling northbound on South Real Road struck Kennedy walking in the area.

As a result, Kennedy suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Responding officers have not released further information about the crash.

Bakersfield police said it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash.

However, an active investigation is underway.
