X Blast Off at the Greek: Three months ago, X and the Blasters performed at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa (with Los Lobos). Of the show, we said: “Exene and John Doe’s voices both sound sublime, with Doe in particular still moving like an enthusiastic teen.”
This weekend, X are performing in L.A. proper, again with the Blasters and this time they have Danish psychobilly band the Horrorpops with them. That’s still a great bill of punky, ‘billy, fun. Get there early — the Blasters have still got it.
