When it comes to sausages, one might think of chicken, pork or turkey fillings. But what about buffalo and chipotle? Duck and jalapeno? Alligator and andouille? It's exactly these unlikely flavors combinations that have propelled downtown L.A.'s Wurstküche — the self-exclaimed of “purveyor of exotic grilled sausages” — to a huge success. Now Eater and Feast have confirmed reports that Wurstküche owners Joseph Pitruzzelli and Tyler Wilson are opening a second location in the Venice Beach space formerly occupied by Air Conditioned. Seems like everybody's heading to the beach these days, for which we are very grateful. Judging by the pair's initial good fortune — we've heard that the downtown sausage palace made quite a bit last year — we're guessing the expansion will have them living on Easy Street. Or at the very least, Lincoln Boulevard.
