One man's humor is a another man's horror, and Andy Ritchie has seen enough scary comics to know how to combine the two. When the L.A. comedian worked in a comedy-booking agency in his native Minneapolis, he watched countless audition VHS tapes sent in by wannabe comics. In 2010, Ritchie and Austin public-access TV host Charlie Sotelo got the idea to screen their videos of mostly open-mic mishaps, as well as some awkward TV moments with the likes of Woody Allen, Andrew Dice Clay, Seth Rogen and David Cross. For tonight's Worst Foot Forward: When Comedy Goes Wrong, Ritchie again displays his collection of stupid human tricks with co-host Colton Dunn (writer for Comedy Central's Key and Peele, Upright Citizens Brigade regular). If loving comedy this bad is wrong, you don’t wanna be right. Meltdown Comics, Nerdist Theater, 7522 Sunset Blvd., Hlywd.; Sept. 20, 7 p.m.; $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
