From an environmentally conscious grind-fest to a last splash by the pool to a vampy burlesque bash and beyond, Labor Day weekend once again brings myriad mixers for dance lovers. Friday, Aug. 29 seems to be the big night for getting your freak on: Humanitaire’s “Battle of the DJs” has local spinsters going head to head followed by sets by DJ Rap (definitely one of the most dextrous divas to take the decks) and L.A. Riots, all benefiting Global Green USA; Avalon, 7 p.m.-3 a.m. humanitaireentertainment.org. For something a little more sinful, check out Rock & Roll Cabaret, featuring burlesque babes, live tattooing, bands and DJ Hellhound burning up the dance floor; Vertigo’s, 801 W. Temple St., dwntwn. myspace.com/rocknrollcabaretla. Also Fry-day, the Clash of the Titans club night asks patrons to “sacrifice yourself to the party gods” as DJ Pube$, Haycock and L.A. Dies Knight provide crazy dance jams — and landing on a holiday weekend, this installment should make for an extra epic party; Medusa Lounge, 3211 Beverly Blvd., L.A.; 9 p.m.-2 a.m. clashrsvp@gmail.com. And what would an end-of-summer soiree be without getting a little Wet? Sat., Aug. 29, the Homemade Events crew offer their final poolside gathering with a formidable DJ lineup: Mark Farina (OM), Jason Bentley (KCRW), Todd Omotani (Vestax), Eduardo Castillo (Custom) and David Bullock (Therapy), from 1 p.m. till “you dry off”; Custom Hotel, 8639 Lincoln Blvd., Westchester; (310) 645-0400 or www.homemadela.com.

On Monday, September 1, keep the splishin’ and swishin’ going with some end-of-summer sunshine — Tommie Sunshine, that is. Traffic Events offer their final pool party with the electro messiah, and it’s one last chance to experience some (rhythmic and solar) rays; Standard Downtown, 550 S. Flower St., downtown; www.trafficevents.com.
