Female Victim Trapped, Several Hurt in Auto Accident near Bear Valley Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (April 1, 2022) A woman was airlifted Tuesday night, following a car crash on Amargosa Road.

The collision was reported around 8:55 p.m., near Bear Valley Road on March 8. However, the events leading up remain unclear.

Officials immediately located a white Ford Transit cargo van and a black 2015 Nissan Altima with major damage upon arrival.

Emergency workers discovered a female driver trapped in the driver’s seat of the Nissan, requiring firefighters to cut open the roof in order to free her. It took nearly half an hour for firefighters to free the woman.

Crews flew the female victim by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition. Authorities also requested a second helicopter for a passenger inside the Nissan sedan with critical injuries.

Additionally, officers shut down all northbound lanes on Amargosa Road during the initial investigation.
