48-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Oakland Collision

OAKLAND, CA (November 5, 2021) – Tuesday night, a woman who is suspected to be homeless was struck and injured by a truck on 7th Street.

The incident happened around 9:03 p.m. at the 100 block of Seventh Street, near the Laker Merritt BART Station. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, a Chevrolet truck was traveling east on 7th Street, and struck the woman outside of a marked crosswalk. In addition, authorities pointed out that the truck was heading through a green light at the time.

Eventually, medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a hospital. She was said to be suffering from life-threatening injuries.
