Pedestrian-Auto Accident on South Coast Highway Resulted in One Fatality

LAGUNA BEACH, CA (February 7, 2023) – Sunday evening, a pedestrian accident at the 30600 block of South Coast Highway left one woman dead.

The fatal incident happened around 6 p.m. when a female pedestrian attempted to cross the road outside of a crosswalk.

Consequently, several vehicles hit the woman, leaving her with fatal injuries. However, the identity of the deceased person remains undisclosed pending notification from the next of kin.

Meanwhile, the involved drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
