1 Dead, 2 Injured Following Two-Car Collision on Gurney Court

SAN JOSE, CA (February 11, 2022) – Saturday night, a woman was killed following a deadly two-vehicle crash on Berryessa Road.

Around 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the scene near Gurney Court, one block west of Piedmont Road.

According to reports, a woman was driving a 2008 Audi sedan at a high rate of speed and ran a red light at the intersection. There, she struck a 2016 Honda.

The crash sent the Audi off the road before slamming into two trees on Gurney Court. Due to the impact of the collision, the woman was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, medics took her passenger to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the Honda driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Officials withheld the identity of the all parties involved at this time pending notification of kin.
