Train Accident on Sunset Avenue Intersection Left One Fatality
FAIRFIELD, CA (December 9, 2021) – A train accident on Sunset Avenue intersection claimed the life of a woman Wednesday morning.
The fatal accident occurred around 9:00 a.m., near the intersection of Sunset and Railroad Avenues.
At this time, Fairfield officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, reports indicate that a female victim was struck and killed.
At this time, the identity of the deceased woman remains unavailable, pending notification from the next of kin.
Police took on traffic control during the investigation while lanes on Sunset remained blocked off. Although, the road has since been reopened.
No additional details have been made public; more information will be posted as it is made available.
