Man Injured in Traffic Accident near Clark Avenue

POMONA, CA (May 4, 2023) – Late Wednesday night, a woman died and a man was injured in a suspected race crash on Holt Avenue. The incident happened on April 26th, just before 12:00 a.m., when officers from Pomona Police Department were dispatched to the scene for a possible street racing. According to reports, the police found two vehicles, a maroon Honda and a dark blue Dodge Charger, at the location. A witness told the officers that the Honda was traveling past the speed limit and racing with a dark-colored Mustang. The Dodge was traveling in the opposite direction of the Honda when they collided head-on. Emergency crews arrived to the site of the collision shortly after. Medics pronounced the female passenger of the Honda dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. Meanwhile, the Dodge driver suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
