Driver Arrested Following Single-Vehicle Collision near 12th Avenue

ROY, WA (November 28, 2022) – Saturday, a woman was arrested following a solo-car crash on 304th Street East that killed another woman. 

The incident happened on November 26th, at 12:19 a.m., in the 1200 block of 304th Street East near 12th Avenue.

A vehicle occupied by two women was traveling westbound on 304th Street East. For reasons currently unknown, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with two trees. The impact of the collision ejected the passenger from the car and severely injured the driver. 

First responders arrived shortly after and extricated the female driver from the wreck. Medics then transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Meanwhile, officials declared the 48-year-old female passenger dead at the scene. 

Following preliminary duties, police later arrested the 43-year-old driver on charges of vehicular homicide. Once available, more details will be provided about the solo-car crash on 304th Street East.
