Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Accident on Foothill Boulevard
FONTANA, CA (August 10, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Sierra Avenue claimed the life of one woman, late Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 11:55 p.m., near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Investigators said a woman was walking outside of the marked crosswalk on the westbound lanes of Foothill, just east of Sierra. There, she was struck by a westbound green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.
Consequently, first responders transported the female pedestrian to Kaiser Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries on August 8th.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet driver and the two passengers remained uninjured. At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been made public.
At this time, Fontana Officials continue to investigate the fatal collision on Sierra Avenue.
