40-Year-Old Woman Dies after Vehicle Accident on Convoy Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 9, 2022) – On Tuesday, a pedestrian crash on Othello Avenue claimed the life of a 40-year-old woman, authorities said.

According to the report, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when a Tesla heading westbound on Othello ran through a red light at Convoy Street.

As a result, the 39-year-old male driver struck a pedestrian walking southbound on Convoy.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under active investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
