Pedestrian Accident on Highway 65 Left One Woman Dead

ROCKLIN, CA (February 9, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Highway 65 claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman Monday morning.

Authorities said that the woman was racing across northbound Highway 65 near Sunset Boulevard at 6:34 a.m.

Consequently, a vehicle struck the woman in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle, a Lexus sedan, stopped after hitting the woman.

Meanwhile, the CHP officials believed the woman was not a resident as they could not identify her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic slowed down near the crash scene; however, all lanes of Highway 65 remained open.

An active investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision is ongoing.
