Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash near 23rd Street and Bell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (October 25, 2022) – Late Tuesday night, a pedestrian crash near 23rd Street and Bell Road left one woman dead.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m., near the intersection of 23rd Street and Bell Road on October 18th.

According to reports, the woman was crossing the road along Bell Road when a westbound vehicle collided with her. Following the initial collision, a second vehicle also traveling westbound struck the injured woman and continued to drive away from the scene.

Due to the impact of the collisions, the woman suffered serious injuries which later led to her death.

The first driver stopped and stayed at a nearby gas station, and showed no signs of impairment.

At this time, police are looking for the second vehicle involved. The events leading up to the crash are still under investigation.
