Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 Left One Woman Dead

GOLDEN HILL, CA (October 11, 2021) – A woman tragically died in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 5 Thursday morning.

The collision happened shortly before 7:00 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just south of Pershing Drive.

According to the California Roadway Patrol, they received reports of a silver Ford that struck a lady walking down the highway.

Paramedics transported the lady to a nearby hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.

At this time, officials withheld the name and identity of the deceased victim.

Meanwhile, the motorist involved in the accident remained at the site and cooperated with investigators.

Moreover, police closed the lanes for more than an hour due to cleanup and investigation.

Authorities said it does not look like intoxication contributed to the crash. Investigators are trying to find out the cause of the crash.
