Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident near 50th Street

TALMADGE, CA (September 28, 2022) – Friday night, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on El Cajon Boulevard.

The fatal collision happened around 7:20 p.m., when a vehicle struck a woman near the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and 50th Street.

Upon impact, the involved driver failed to stop and render aid to the severely injured victim. Shortly after, the driver of a gold Toyota Camry also struck the woman as she was laying in the road.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced her dead at the scene. Authorities only described her as a woman in her 50s.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
