Deadly Rollover Crash near Jefferson Street Leaves One Woman Dead and Another Injured

PHOENIX, AZ (February 3, 2023) – Early Friday morning, one woman died following a rollover crash on Interstate 17. The crash happened on January 20th, at around 3:00 a.m., in the northbound lanes of Interstate 17 near Jefferson Street. According to reports, a man was driving his work truck along Interstate 17, when a car clipped his truck. The impact of the collision caused the car to flip over. The driver of the car, a woman in her early 20s, sustained fatal injures. The injuries resulted from being partially ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it. First responders to the crash declared the woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger of the car, also a woman in her 20s, sustained minor injuries. Medics transported her to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
