Bicycle-Auto Collision near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Left Female Bicyclist Dead
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 29, 2023) – A hit-and-run on 21st Avenue claimed the life of a woman early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the collision at around 1:53 p.m., near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 21st Avenue.
According to reports, the woman was riding her bicycle in the area when she was struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located the woman in the area suffering from significant injuries. Despite the life-saving efforts of the first responders, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The identity of the deceased woman will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once her family has been notified.
Authorities believe that the involved driver immediately fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
