Female Pedestrian Dies After Fatal Crash near Lena Street in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 27, 2021) – A woman believed to be in her 60s to 70s died Tuesday night after a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run on Washington Avenue.

The incident happened around 8:36 p.m., on May 25. Emergency crews arrived near the intersection of Lena Street and Washington Avenue.

According to reports, the female pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when an eastbound Dodge truck struck her. However, further events leading up remain unclear.

First responders arrived and rushed the woman to Sunrise Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

According to police, the driver of the Dodge fled the scene of the accident. Authorities are currently requesting that anyone with additional information or who has seen the vehicle contact their offices as soon as possible.
