Hit-and-Run Crash on Keswick Street Leaves Pedestrian Dead

SUN VALLEY, CA (April 12, 2023) – Thursday evening, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Laurel Canyon Boulevard left a woman dead. The incident happened on April 6th, just before 8:30 p.m., near the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Keswick Street. According to reports, a driver in a pickup truck struck a woman at the intersection. The impact of the collision left the woman with serious injuries. The pickup driver then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash shortly after. Medics transported the female pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. However, officials at the hospital pronounced the woman dead, due to the extent of her injuries. At this time, authorities have only identified her as a woman in her 50s. Investigators state that the woman was crossing the street in the crosswalk and had the light. At this time, no further information regarding the driver or the vehicle is available. Police ask anyone with information on the hit-and-run crash on Laurel Canyon Road to contact them as soon as possible.
