Hit-and-Run Crash on Boulder Highway Left One Pedestrian Dead

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 22, 2021) –  A hit-and-run crash on Boulder Highway claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, the crash happened at 3:42 a.m. on Sandhill Road.

Consequently, paramedics immediately responded on the scene.

Furthermore, reports said the woman was standing in the middle of the three northbound travel lanes when a Kia Soul vehicle struck her.

According to Metro Lt. David Gordon, the 63-year-old motorist remained at the site and showed no signs of intoxication. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will reveal the woman’s identification once next of kin has been notified.

Due to the crash, the northbound lanes of the highway were closed to traffic for about five hours.

In the year 2021, this is the 138th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction.
