Woman Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Crash on Echo Avenue
FRESNO, CA (October 20, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, a female pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Belmont Avenue.
The incident happened around 12:45 a.m., near Echo Avenue on October 16th.
According to reports, a woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.
Shortly after, the female pedestrian was struck by another vehicle. First responders arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene. Officers only described the deceased victim as a woman in her 50s.
Meanwhile, the second driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
