Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Pedestrian in Highland Park

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 23, 2023) – Friday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Aldama Street claimed the life of a woman. The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the 5600 block of Aldama Street in the Highland Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman in her 60s lying on the street in front of her home, suffering from serious injuries. She succumbed to her wounds shortly after. Subsequently, police closed the street in the residential neighborhood as crews set up a canopy was set up where the victim was killed. Her identity remains undisclosed to the public. According to the investigators, a speeding black Chevy Tahoe hit the victim and fled the scene without rendering aid to her. At this time, the LAPD looking for witnesses and possible surveillance footage that captured the incident.
